Short film from POP’s Next Generation Climate Leader showcase selected finalist for Ocean Conservation Award

In 2021, POP commissioned the production of three short films showcasing three Scotland based Climate Leaders. The focus of the videos was to highlight three early career researchers in Scotland who are at the forefront of their environmental discipline.

The Next Generation Climate Leaders:

  • Just Transition – Magnus Davidson, ERI, University of the Highlands and Islands
  • Nature-based Solutions (land) – Celeste Kellock, University of Stirling
  • ​Nature-based Solutions (marine) – Caitlin Cunningham, NatureScot

POP is pleased to announce the film with Caitlin Cunningham has been Sylvia Earle Ocean Conservation Award as part of the MY HERO International Film Festival.

The winner of the award will be announced by the film festival on World Oceans Day, June 8th with the prize of $500 cash prize from MacGillivray Freeman Films Educational Foundation’s. Read more here.
