On the 20th of January, Elizabeth Alker presented chilling ambient sounds inspired by the Arctic marine environment. The show featured Ocean ARTic’s composer Michael Begg’s track called ‘Arctic Night’ from his album Light Water is Black Water.
The tracks showcase how Michael transformed daily average data points for ice concentration and thickness, air temperature, pressure, precipitation and evaporation into melodic lines and harmonic content.
